Best 75-inch TVs you can buy in 2023

Large inch TVs are selling more and more and inches such as 75 or even 85 have had a spectacular growth in recent years. In fact, 75 inches, which some time ago was the maximum size available on many models, has now become a very popular size. And as of today, the largest size on some models is 98 inches. In this article, we’ll show you our list of recommendations with the best 75-inch TVs you can buy now in 2023.

With the increase in resolution and the evolution of TV image processors, it is now possible to see TVs of this size at a shorter distance. In addition, as we will see, prices are no longer as exaggerated as they were a few years ago, and now you have TVs in 75 inches for very interesting prices and not much higher than the previous size of 65″.

To help you decide which 75″ TV to buy, we have listed below what we think are the best 75″ TVs. We also included OLED TVs that are made in 77″ instead of 75″, but we couldn’t leave them out of this list.

Samsung 75CU8000

Samsung 75CU8000 – Best 75-inch TVs you can buy in 2023

To begin our list of recommendations, we want to show you the Samsung 75CU8000, a simple 4K TV that you can buy for a very affordable price. The CU8000 series is the cheapest model for this year after the CU7105, but presents some features as we are going to see now, that make it a worthwhile TV for restricted budgets.

It comes with a 60 Hz VA type panel and 8-bit + FRC color depth. This model excels in color reproduction by being able to cover 90% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum and display vivid colors.

The color palette is wide thanks to its Dynamic Crystal Color system, which consists of adding red and green phosphors to cover the LED diodes. This generates a much whiter and purer light, resulting in a purer and more accurate color when color filtered. The white is also more neutral and has no contamination from other colors.

The image processing is more than correct and we notice that Samsung has done a good job on its image processor for the entry-level range.

Another highlight of this model is its slim profile, just 2.6 cm, which makes it look elegant and modern when you place it in your home. But it looks best when you hang it on the wall, as you can leave it practically glued to the wall with almost no separation thanks to its ultra-slim design.

It already comes with the renewed controller with solar panel and you can also charge via USB-C and also incorporates the Gaming Hub menu to play in the cloud.

In short, Samsung’s 75CU8000 series is an affordable large-inch TV, but it has a number of very interesting features, making it perfect if your budget is not very generous.

TCL 75Q6 (North America) / 75C635K (EU) QLED

TCL C641 / C645 QLED 2023TCL 75C635K QLED

Let’s continue with the TCL Q650G / C635K which are another models that we recommend you. These two series are pretty similar although with differences in design. TCL sells the first one in North America and the second one in UK and in Europe.

This models use QLED technology, which employs quantum dot nanoparticles to achieve a wider color palette. This technology has become popular thanks to Samsung, but there are other brands that also incorporate it in their TVs, as is the case with TCL.

These quantum dots are added in a layer and have the ability to change the color length according to the size they have. It is a very good technology to show more intense colors and maintain the saturation in the brightest parts without washing out.

The panel is VA type, which gives a good contrast and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. For use as a gaming display, it features TCL DLG (Dual Line Gate) technology, which provides a dynamically higher refresh rate and lower latency. It uses a dynamic refresh that attempts to achieve a similar feel to a native 120 Hz panel. This function, however, when activated, the resolution drops to Full HD, it is not compatible in 4K.

If you are going to give it an intensive use for gaming, we will now leave you with models that already come with HDMI 2.1 to play in 4K at 120 Hz. Something that this TVs doesn’t allow, which is normal for a TV at this price point.

The operating system is Google TV with which you will have access to more than 7000 apps, besides Google Chromecast and Google Assistant.

Sony 75X90K

Sony X90K Full Array
Sony X90K Full Array

Now we make a big leap in quality with Sony’s X90K series. This model comes with more advanced features such as a full-array backlight system and native 120 Hz panel and HDMI 2.1 ports, as well as better sound as we will see now.

Thanks to its Full Array Local Dimming system, the light diffusion is more precise. It has a larger number of LED bulbs and they are placed along the back instead of just at the bottom like the Samsung CU8000 we saw at the beginning.

In addition, you can control the light independently, so that these LED bulbs turn on or off where needed. This results in better contrast, brightness and uniformity on the screen. However, it has to be said that the number of zones it can control is quite limited, around 60 zones, so it still presents a control that is not as precise as the Mini LED models we are about to see.

In any case, it is an interesting improvement compared to the models we have just seen and allows to display a maximum brightness close to 1000 nits. The blacks, without reaching those of an OLED, are quite good thanks to this light control and its VA panel.

The color palette of this model is also very good thanks to the Triluminos mapping system and the Cognitive XR processor.

This Sony 75X90K is a very interesting TV for gaming, as it already has two HDMI 2.1 ports for 4K gaming at 120 Hz, unlike the models we have seen so far. It also supports VRR to synchronize the images of the screen and the console or PC. Thanks to that you’re going to obtaining an image without jerking or screen tearing.

The sound, without being spectacular, offers an acceptable experience even without a sound bar, thanks to the X-balanced speakers and two tweeters on the sides. The X-balanced speakers provide more bass, and the side tweeters deliver sound from the front for a more direct experience.

This model is from 2022, but that is precisely why it is a good time to buy it as it has dropped a lot in price and the 2023 model is much more expensive.

Samsung Neo QLED 75QN85C

We continue our review of the best 75-inch TVs of 2023 with the Samsung Neo QLED QN85C. This is a mini LED backlit model that uses thousands of mini bulbs. These mini LED bulbs are 40 times smaller than usual. With such a small size, thousands of bulbs can be implemented, resulting in better light diffusion. The light emitted by these mini LEDs is independently controlled in 576 zones. This means that small groups of these bulbs will be turned off to increase brightness and improve black levels.

It also uses a quantum dot nanoparticle film to expand the color gamut to achieve 100% color volume. The 75QN85C series stands out as a very bright TV. It’s ideal for very bright environments, with a peak brightness of nearly 1500 nits in the brightest mode.

In addition to great picture quality, it also has a powerful sound system with 2.2.2 channels and 60W of power. It supports Dolby Atmos wirelessly, so you can connect a Samsung Q-series sound bar from the HW-Q800B onwards and enjoy Dolby Atmos audio via both HDMI and Wi-Fi.

The design is also very clean and has a thickness of only 2.6 cm, which makes it very suitable for wall mounting.

Considering all that we have told you, there is no doubt that Samsung’s 75QN85C is another great option for those who want a vibrant picture along with superior sound to the alternatives we have shown you so far.

LG OLED77B2

LG OLED 77B2 - Best 75 inch TVs of 2023
LG OLED 77B2 – Best 75 inch TVs of 2023

We now make the jump to OLED technology with this LG B2, which is the brand’s cheapest TV with this technology. As we mentioned before, OLED panels are manufactured in the 77″ size instead of the 75″. So we have two extra inches that are not very noticeable, but there they are.

Thanks to its self-luminescent panel, where each pixel can turn on and off independently, the black level is totally black. Therefore, unlike the models we just saw that need bulbs to generate light, here each pixel is the one that generates its own light. This means that in dark rooms, you get a better experience by being able to visualize total blacks, avoiding leakage or halos around bright objects on a dark background or subtitles.

Another inherent benefit of OLED technology is that you can watch it from anywhere with virtually no loss of color or contrast. The B2 has all these advantages, but it is also a TV that incorporates a good image processor, such as the 5th generation Alpha 7, which performs a more than correct scaling with low quality sources.

It also has two HDMI 2.1 ports and a 120 Hz native panel so you can get the most out of the new generation of consoles.

In conclusion, the OLED B2 is a great option if you want a large OLED TV that already gives you excellent picture quality, but without having to spend as much as the models we are about to see.

Sony 77A80L

Another OLED TV that we had to include in our list of the best 75-inch and 77-inch TVs of 2023 is the Sony A80L. Like the LG OLED B2, it has an OLED panel, but in this case it has a brighter panel and other improvements.

This 77″ A80L integrates a panel called OLED EX, which introduces a series of changes in the layers of the panel to achieve up to 20% more brightness and better color volume, as well as lower power consumption.

The Sony A80L series is also on this list for its excellent cognitive XR image processing, which renders even low-quality sources with great sharpness and virtually no noise or artifacts. Motion management is also outstanding thanks to X-Motion Clarity technology, so you get a moving picture that looks smooth and jerk-free.

Another of the great advantages that this TV incorporates is its Acoustic Surface sound system. What the Japanese company has done here is to add actuators that vibrate the screen to emit sound from the screen itself. You’ll experience a much more direct sensation without the need to add a soundbar. Now, the revamped cognitive processor analyzes the signal in real time and detects where the characters are speaking from to deliver the audio from where they are actually speaking.

If you are a gamer looking for a giant screen for gaming, this Sony A80L comes with all the necessary features. It has HDMI 2.1, VRR, ALLM and low input lag. You’ll enjoy low latency in the most demanding games such as shooters.

LG OLED evo 77G3

LG OLED evo G3 with MLA panel - Best 75 inch TVs of 2023
LG OLED evo G3 with MLA panel – Best 75 inch TVs of 2023

The OLED TVs we have just looked at will give you excellent quality with pure blacks and good color reproduction, but brightness is also important in HDR content, and even more so when you watch it in brightly lit rooms. And this is where the LG OLED evo G3 comes in, reaching a peak brightness of no less than 2100 nits in Vivo mode, an undoubtedly spectacular figure. In calibrated modes, the brightness goes up to 1500 nits, which is still impressive for an OLED TV.

To achieve this level of brightness, LG designed a new panel by adding a layer of microscopic microlenses that help direct the light better. Millions of these microlenses are used, which have a convex shape that mimics the way the eyes of dragonflies see in 360º.

LG OLED evo G3 with microlenses (MLA) – Best 75-inch TVs of 2023

It also now has a more powerful light management algorithm and a heat sink to keep the temperature down. This is what other brands commercially call OLED META, but LG prefers to keep calling it Evo.

Like the Sony A80L we just saw, an additional green layer is introduced to increase brightness, as well as deuterium and new materials in the red and green layers for better color reproduction, greater durability against possible burn-in, and lower power consumption.

In addition, the OLED Gallery G3 has a new coating that greatly reduces reflections. It doesn’t matter if you have a window right in front of you, this new filter works really well and you’ll be able to see it without being bothered by reflections.

Also, unlike the Samsung 77S95C that we are about to see, it has a polarizer that makes the blacks look completely black even in a brightly lit room.

But not only does it stand out in terms of picture quality, it also stands out in terms of design. The OLED G3 Series is only 2.4 cm thick and has a completely flat back so you can leave it completely mounted on the wall. There is a wall mount bracket in the box, but there is no table mount bracket. Therefore, it is initially intended to be wall-mounted, although you can purchase a compatible mount from the many available.

If you prefer to place it on a table, you can buy the official LG stand or a generic one.

Finally, it has the new WOW Orchestra function, which allows the TV’s speakers and a compatible LG soundbar to work simultaneously.

In short, we are talking about a TV that is not cheap, but that has a number of qualities that are worth appreciating if you are looking for the highest image quality along with a perfect design to hang on the wall.

Samsung 77S95C

Samsung TV S95C QD-OLED 2023Samsung TV S95C QD-OLED 2023

And we finish with another great TV if you have a high budget and want the best picture quality, design and sound. We’re talking about the new Samsung 77S95C with QD OLED panel, which combines a self-emitting panel with quantum dot technology.

Unlike the OLED models we have just seen, this S95C uses an RGB OLED panel that eliminates the need to add a white subpixel to increase brightness, nor the typical color filter to generate color, but instead uses Quantum Dot technology. These tiny particles, unlike the QN85C which also used this technology, are printed on the subpixels using a new inkjet process.

Now, this new S95C series incorporates a new sensor for temperature control as well as a hyper-efficient OLED electroluminescent material that makes the blue emitting layer more efficient and brighter.

New hyper-efficient blue OLED material and new algorithm.New hyper-efficient blue OLED material and new algorithm.

The LG G3 that we have just seen is perfect for hanging on the wall, but this S95C is also perfect because the part is also completely flat and the thickness is incredibly thin, being only 1 cm. This is made possible by keeping the ports separate in the One Connect box. Here, all the connections are located and connected to the TV with a single cable.

The sound system is 4.2.2 channels with a power of 70W and supports Dolby Atmos. If you want to improve the sound, you can use the Q-Symphony function, which is similar to LG’s WOW Orchestra function.

Which 75-inch TV should I buy?

We have shown you what we think are the best 75-inch TVs you can buy in 2023. Depending on your budget and needs, you will be more interested in one model or another.

But summarizing a little, if your budget is tight, we believe that the. TCL 75Q6 is your best option. If you have an average budget, with the Sony X90K you’re already going to make a significant leap in image and you’re already going to enjoy a 120 Hz panel.

If you want to make the leap to OLED without spending too much money, the 77OLEDB2 series is the ideal choice and you will enjoy deep blacks along with good image processing and a variety of gaming features.

And if you want the best picture quality without worrying about the price, we think the best options are the Samsung 77S95C QD OLED and the LG OLED evo G3, both of which deliver impressive images.

The LG OLED G3 achieves a higher brightness level, supports Dolby Vision, performs better in brightly lit rooms as it has a polarizer, which the Samsung does not, and does not come with One Connect, which can be interesting if you have the sockets right behind it. It would be the best option if you wanted to leave it hanging on the wall. It also has a white subpixel, which tests have shown to be more resistant to burns.

On the other hand, the Samsung 77S95C stands out more in terms of color and viewing angle, and if you want to place it on furniture, it already comes with a stand.

We hope this comparison of the best 75 inch TVs was useful for you. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below.
